Tick Tock: Building Browser Red Pills from Timing Side Channels (Paper)
Uses JavaScript timing ratios for DOM, storage, worker and graphics operations to distinguish tested virtual machines from physical hosts. A malicious site could withhold payloads from virtualized browser inspection without plugins or privileged instructions. The experiments cover two physical machines and a limited environment matrix, not a universal classifier.
