Phishing Attacks against Password Manager Browser Extensions
Password manager extension popups are painted over the page viewport and look no different from page content, so a site the attacker controls can render a convincing replica of a locked password manager and capture the master password typed into it. In a simulation with 29,800 participants, more than 30 percent of targeted users entered it.
