Iframes/Popups Are Dangerous in Mobile WebView: Studying and Mitigating Differential Context Vulnerabilities

Android WebView lets an untrusted iframe or popup share context with the host page, a class the authors call differential context vulnerabilities. An embedded frame can forge web messaging, reach app-exposed mobile functionality and mount phishing; an automated scanner found the flaw widespread, including in Facebook, Skype and Uber.
