Transcript Collision Attacks: Breaking Authentication in TLS, IKE and SSH
Key exchange protocols hash their handshake transcript with MD5 or SHA-1, so an attacker who computes a chosen-prefix collision between two transcripts can make a client and a server sign the same hash. This yields credential forwarding against TLS client and server authentication and channel bindings, plus impersonation and downgrade attacks on TLS 1.1, IKEv2 and SSH-2.
