postMessage extended for hybrid mobile apps treats native code as an extra frame, and a message origin is not respected or is lost outright on delivery. Code injected into a WebView can passively read messages holding sensitive data or send messages to arbitrary receivers and reach internal functions; 74 apps were affected, and the paper adds OSV-Hunter detection and safe OSV-Free APIs.
