Exploiting IE8 UTF-7 XSS Vulnerability using Local Redirection
IE8 fixed UTF-7 charset inheritance by refusing it across origins, but still allowed it from a same-domain child page. Serving a same-origin child frame and then redirecting it to the target site restores the inheritance, so UTF-7 encoded payloads on the victim domain execute. Demonstrated against a 50webs.com page, stealing its cookie.
