CanITrack automatically exercises browser storage, cache, access-control and policy mechanisms by writing and reading state across different browsing contexts to see what persists. Testing 21 mechanisms uncovered tracking vectors including 13 usable for third-party tracking, two that survive private browsing and two in Google's Privacy Sandbox.
