Gone in Six Characters: Short URLs Considered Harmful for Cloud Services
The paper shows that five- and six-character shortened URLs can be enumerated at scale, exposing supposedly limited-share cloud resources and sensitive map directions. It demonstrates OneDrive account traversal and finds writable folders that permit automated malware injection.
