Microsoft and GitHub OAuth Implementation Vulnerabilities Lead to Redirection Attacks
Proofpoint describes OAuth error flows in Microsoft, GitHub and Google that redirect users to attacker callbacks after malformed requests, cancellation, or sometimes before authentication. Attackers used legitimate provider domains to hide phishing destinations from email defenses and steal credentials or payment data; provider-side error pages and explicit exit warnings were recommended.
