AST Injection, Prototype Pollution to RCE
Prototype pollution in a Node.js application can insert nodes into the abstract syntax tree that a template engine passes from parser to compiler. Handlebars and Pug then compile attacker-supplied AST fragments without revalidating them, so the polluted properties become arbitrary code in the generated template function and give remote code execution.
